Tonight- The Melody Ross Memorial Trust Fund in Long Beach
Alondra Hot Wings Long Beach (245 Pine Ave) will participate tonight in donating a portion of sales to the Melody Ross Memorial Trust Fund.
- Participating Restaurants on Wed, 11/11 from 6p-9p. Eat at these places to do your part in the community, each one will give a % of their sales from tonight to donate to the Melody Ross Memorial Trust Fund.
It's A Grind Coffee House (247 Pine Ave). Alondra Hot Wings (245 Pine Ave). Taco Beach (211 Pine Ave). Shannon's On Pine (209 Pine Ave) [50% of Shoot the Root Sales]. Aladdin Grill & Cafe (200 Pine Ave # A). bouchees bistro at SMOOTH'S (144 Pine Ave). Cafe Sevilla (140 Pine Ave). George's Greek Cafe (135 Pine Ave). Alegria Cocina Latina Restaurant (115 Pine Ave). Madison (102 Pine Ave). L'Opera (101 Pine Ave). Kavikas Grill & Bar (95 Aquarium Way).

"The Melody Ross Memorial Trust Account is an account established by the Superintendent of Schools, and President of the Long Beach Education Foundation. This account is established to receive funds for costs associated with her death such as her funeral and related costs, costs her parents may incur due to her tragic death, possibly for assistance for the family, or to ease the burden for her siblings when they want to go to college.
This will not simply be a scholarship fund, but rather a broad account to be used for many expenditures, all relating to Melody Ross. It may also include scholarships. It may include programs to prevent tragedies such as this one from occurring again."
